'The Service Technician's Field Manual' is an even more valuable training tool with new accompaniment training tools ‘Service Technician's Training Program’ and ‘The Service Technician’s Field Manual Companion Study Guide.’

RICHFIELD, Ohio — The PCT Media Group announced a pre-publication offer for the Service Technician's Training Program and The Service Technician’s Field Manual Companion Study Guide. Both of these resources are accompaniment training tools for The Service Technician's Field Manual, the popular field reference and training publication by Dr. William H Robinson.

Together, the two books and instructor's DVD, provide the framework for training on the information that technicians need to know for today’s situation-specific pest control and the continuing evolution of the industry.

Each chapter of the Companion Study Guide includes a brief overview of the topic, key points and "10 Things to Know" with lines for note-taking and review. The Service Technician's Training Program includes a DVD with PowerPoint presentations to aid instructors in classroom applications, and a test bank, based on the book's 10 Things to Know, for evaluating students’ knowledge and a grade book worksheet to record students’ progress; it also includes one printed copy of the Companion Study Guide.

"There is a line in the Companion Study Guide that states, 'Learning occurs over time … and with movement back and forth over the material.' I believe this provides an excellent depiction of the purpose and value of this new book and training program," said Dan Moreland, publisher, PCT Media Group. "Ongoing learning and review is just as important for veteran technicians as for those who are new on the job. Not only does it ensure that they stay updated on current techniques and applications, such training also helps reduce costs in time and materials—and Robinson's focus on all these topics in the Field Manual and Companion Study Guide provide a valuable training aid to do just that."

Reflecting a 33% savings on all the products, pre-publication prices, available through April 30, 2013, are  $9.95 for the Companion Study Guide (after April 30, 2013, list price is $14.95) and $39.95 for the Service Technician’s Training Program (after April 30, 2013, $59.95). Through April 30, 2013, the Service Technician's Field Manual will also be on sale for $19.95 (regular list price is $29.95). Volume discounts are available for resellers, training programs, and pest control companies. Shipping begins May 1, 2013.
