Sprague Pest Solutions Acquires Golden Services

The acquisition broadens Tacoma-based Sprague’s footprint in Colorado.

TACOMA, Wash. — Sprague Pest Solutions announces the acquisition of Golden Services in Golden, Colorado. The acquisition broadens Tacoma-based Sprague’s footprint in Colorado following its 2011 acquisition of Denver-based EnviroPest.

“Being able to add strong, family-owned businesses that are aligned with our core values and commitment to delivering high quality pest management and prevention services, is always something we seek,” says Alfie Treleven, CEO and president of Sprague Pest Solutions, himself a third generation pest professional. “Golden Services fit that profile perfectly, and we are excited to add their customers to our growing Colorado family.”

Golden Services specialized in providing comprehensive high-end residential pest management services to customers in central Colorado and Denver’s western suburbs. Owners Craig and Susan Lyons started the company nearly 20 years ago and wanted to make sure their customers would be well looked after following the sale.

“We’ve known the Treleven family and Sprague for many years and appreciate working with people who have a measure of integrity and that you can trust,” says Craig Lyons. “They understand the unique qualities of our client base and I know they will take good care of our customers.”

The acquisition of Golden Services, which will be folded into Sprague’s EnviroPest operations, strengthens the company’s residential pest services offerings in the Centennial State. Residential customers in Colorado encounter a wide array of pests including ants, rodents, stinging insects, and termites, as well as green pest management services that offer low-impact control methods.

“Developing strong customer relationships is a key part of our business culture and current Golden Services customers can plan on a seamless transition and continued high quality, reliable pest management services,” says Ross Treleven, Colorado service center manager for Sprague’s EnviroPest operations and district manager for Sprague’s Intermountain region.
