ATLANTA – Orkin, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rollins Inc., recently expanded its customer and employee base in Southern California by acquiring BDD, Inc., a franchisee of Hydrex Pest Control. BDD, Inc. has provided quality pest control service to a broad customer base in Orange County and the western edge of Los Angeles County.

BDD, Inc. was owned by John Drake and was originally founded by his father in 1947 in Long Beach, Calif.

“We look forward to continuing to expand our service into the Orange County-Greater Los Angeles area via this acquisition and other well-known and respected long-term companies,” said Bob Hines, director of acquisitions for Orkin. “With the employees that made BDD successful, we can ensure consistent quality service to the customers.”

BDD, Inc. will continue to operate as Hydrex Pest control Company of California and will remain in the same building it has been in for more than 40 years.
