CHICAGO — Spring may be on the horizon, but February remains a winter month during which cold temperatures and snowstorms are far from over. As a result of winter’s frigid temperatures, many people develop cold-weather sleeping routines, such as increasing the thermostat, which aren’t optimal for quality sleep. Therefore, Protect-A-Bed is launching its Sleep Your Way to Spring sweepstakes to educate consumers about the natural way to get good, quality sleep: thermo-regulation.

While sleeping, the body goes through various temperature changes regardless of the season. Protect-A-Bed’s Luxury Sleep Line uses thermo-regulation to even out the body’s temperature spikes and drops to aid a more restful sleep. The Sleep Your Way to Spring sweepstakes encourages Facebook users to become Protect-A-Bed fans and to register on the company’s website for prizes.

During the two-week sweepstakes, winners will have the chance to win Protect-A-Bed’s Luxury Sleep Line products, which feature an all-natural Tencil-based fabric designed to regulate body heat by keeping sleepers warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Four winners will receive a Luxury Pillow Protector and one grand-prize winner will receive a Luxury Mattress Protector and a Luxury Pillow System, all to make sleeping more comfortable throughout the year.

“Many people think the only way to sleep warmly in the winter is by bundling up under the covers, which can actually overheat the body and lead to poor sleep,” said James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed. “The Sleep Your Way to Spring campaign is a fun way for us to engage with Facebook fans while educating consumers on the value of thermo-regulation for quality sleep.”

The sweepstakes runs on Protect-A-Bed’s website, where participants will be asked a few questions regarding their cold weather sleeping preferences, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 19 and ending Friday, March 1, 2013. Four winners will be randomly selected at 2 p.m. and announced via social media at 4 p.m. on Feb. 20, 22, 25 and 27, with the grand prize winner announced on March 1 at 4 p.m.
