Bayer Hires Klein as Area Sales Manager

Ryan Klein will be responsible for the Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan territory and manage two distributor accounts.

Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, is proud to announce that Ryan Klein has joined the company as Area Sales Manager for the professional pest management business. In his role, Ryan will be responsible for the Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan territory and manage two distributor accounts.

“We are excited to welcome Ryan to the team as a new Area Sales Manager,” said Shawn Mullen, Eastern US Sales Manager for Bayer. “His background and sales experience are great assets for not only our team, but for our customers in his region, as well.”

Klein earned a bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science with a minor in business from the University of Kentucky. He brings strong industry knowledge and sales experience to his new manager role.

“I am excited to be joining the Bayer team and look forward to being part of an organization with such rich history in the professional pest management industry,” said Klein. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the great success of my territory and continuing the relationships Bayer has built with our valued distributors.”

According to research by Terminix, the worst whining about mosquitoes came from Goodland, a small town in the northwest corner of Kansas. Terminix searched through approximately 200 billion tweets posted in 2014 to determine which United States city is most pestered by mosquitoes.

White House Releases Pollinator Action Plan

The Strategy, released last week, and its accompanying science-based Pollinator Research Action Plan outline needs and priority actions to better understand pollinator losses and improve pollinator health. These actions will be supported by coordination of existing Federal research efforts and accompanied by a request to Congress for additional resources to respond to the pollinator losses that are being experienced.
