Bird-B-Gone Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Bird Management

From humble beginnings, bird deterrents manufacturer celebrates two decades in business.

| July 2, 2012

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – Bird-B-Gone celebrated 20 years in business on June 21.

The manufacturer of professional bird deterrents started in the home of owners Bruce and Julie Donoho, with little more than a school desk, a phone and a fax machine, the company said. Today, Bird-B-Gone does business worldwide supplying the commercial, industrial and residential markets.

“We have our customers to thank,” Bruce Donoho said. “They have taken us to this point. Sounds simple, but we wouldn’t be here without them.”

With Bruce Donoho’s experience in the injection molding industry, Bird-B-Gone manufactured the first all-plastic one-mold bird spike, and the company said the design and price of the product has stayed consistent for 15 years.

Bird-B-Gone employs over 100 people, and manufactures its products in California.
