R. Blake Edwards, formerly with FTI Consulting (FTI), has accepted the position of director of business development with North Fulton Pest Solutions (NFPS). Edwards’s decision to join the family business positions NFPS to expedite its company plans to engage in a long-term regional expansion strategy.

President Joey Edwards says, “We believe there’s plenty of opportunity for regional expansion in our industry, and we will strive to continue our quest to attract new talent with the same commitment and dedication to become a new regional contender while maintaining our position as a leader in cutting edge technology with great customer service.  Our philosophies of thinking outside the box and not necessarily following previously accepted protocols, simply because that’s the way it’s always been done in the past, have labeled us as being unique and a bit unorthodox…and we like that.”

The addition of Blake Edwards solidifies the legacy of NFPS as he will be groomed to eventually become the predecessor as the next generation of family ownership.
 
Edwards’s strong business background makes him the perfect fit for the expansion plans of NFPS.  As a senior consultant with FTI in New York, Edwards served as a member of the forensic and litigation consulting practice where he gained extensive expertise in the pharmaceuticals industry including transaction data collection and validation, complex data management and analysis, government pricing, and litigation allowing him to help guide clients through critical challenges and investigations.

Prior to joining FTI in the summer of 2007, Edwards held two professional internships while attending The University of Georgia.  In 2006, he interned as a business management associate with General Mills in Minneapolis, where he examined key business issues and performed extensive data analysis to identify the impact of competitor’s strategic promotions within the retail sector. Additionally, Edwards worked with Dow AgroSciences in the summer of 2005 as an intern within the company’s Sentricon sales division. With Dow, Edwards performed product stewardship reviews across the Southeast, developed and executed a time-motion study to increase technician productivity, and assisted in research conducted by Dr. Daniel Suiter and The University of Georgia.
  
Edwards graduated from The University of Georgia, Terry College of Business in 2007.
