NEW YORK - As part of Bug Off Pest Control Center’s Great Events series, attendees of  “Call of the Wild” will spend an afternoon with Alan A. Huot, a Certified Wildlife Control Professional (CWCP) with over 30 years experience in wildlife control. He is a founding member of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA), former Vice President of the Connecticut Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators Association, member of the National Animal Control Association and member of the National Pest Management Association. In 1998, Alan and his wife Carol founded Wildlife Control Supplies (WCS) to fill the equipment and educational needs of the growing professional wildlife control industry.

The meeting agenda will cover licensing requirements in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Participants will learn how to trap, transport and dispose of the major animals: squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, moles, bats, snakes and coyotes. There will also be a demonstration of the latest tools for trapping, handling and personal protection.

The Workshop will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from noon to 4:00 pm at Saint Rose School Auditorium, 517 West 164th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue, across from Bug Off’s Showroom in Manhattan.  Admission is $35. The deadline for registration is April 7, 2012.
