DALLAS, Texas — Judy Wanner, technical sales representative for FMC Professional Solutions, presented six cases of Topia insecticide to David Willey, sales representative for Estes Chemical in Dallas, Texas. Willey delivered the donated product to a central distribution point in Dallas for the annual People Helping People event, sponsored by the Greater Dallas Pest Control Association.

Each year, the association organizes a day for area pest management professionals to volunteer their time providing pest control service for 85 – 100 needy homeowners. Some 65 PMPs volunteered their time this year and many companies donated product for the event, which took place on Sept. 22, 2010.

An all-natural product, Topia controls cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, flies and more than a dozen other pests. “Many of the residents of the homes treated by the People Helping People event were elderly folks who are sensitive to traditional chemical products,” said Wanner. “Topia is a totally natural, water-based product that is exempt from EPA registration. It has low odor, delivers rapid knockdown and leaves no oily residue after application. We thought it would be a good fit for this worthy cause.”
