Hello,
There is a little bit of a battle going on between the thoughts on treatment for mice in residential/multi-family dwellings. Some say to bait exterior, basement & attic, and all living areas, while the other is saying to bait exterior, basement & attic, and use snap trap/glue boards in living areas. What are your thoughts?
Thanks

Exclusion #1 priority on rodent control.
We bait outdoors in bait stations after we exclude all access areas.

Hello Kerry,
I understand you try and exclude and then bait ont he outside, but what do you do about the ones on the inside before you do the exclusion work?

Hi fellas. We were always told Exclusion, Restriction, Destruction. Certainly in a domestic dwelling I would be looking to take the carcasses away with me rather than leaving them rotting under the floors or around pipes. So it would be traps for me. http://pestpro.co.uk Pest Pro - Pest Control in Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham

That's what I do after learning the hard way in my own home years ago. Baited a rodent that ended up dying in the wall (instead of going outside to drink water-which I have heard sooo many times...lol). Stunk for a month!!!

Well there doesn’t seem to be a battle issue as wherever the appearance of rodents is seen in higher concentration the bait must be planted in those locations. IPM Services Toronto
