Any recommendations on backpack sprayers?

I've always used Birchmeiers (4 gallons), but they cost $300 and it seems like I'm always replacing parts. Looking online I've found much cheaper backpack sprayers, such as Chapin, that have better customer reviews. Just curious what others thought are on sprayers.

I use to hate mine too until my brother in law showed me the grease plunger on the side. Ever since I've kept up with maintenance on that i have had zero issues.

I had a Solo that went belly up, so I took my 12 volt 1gpm pump I had from an old spot sprayer and built my own electric. Works great.

How much will a Fastpac set you back? Looks really cool but do I have to buy their Herbilife crap too?

As backpack sprayers are essential and must be of fine quality so you must use a product of a reliable company which is durable enough. There are various agents available who can help you in selecting the best device.

Hello Dale,

Yep, it seems everyone loves fastpack ...
No surprise the manufacturer can not keep up. Literally ,
every place I contacted is sold out.

Few weeks back I got the hand pumped Chapin back pack sprayer. Works fine but nothing like fastpack.

I emailed the company and they said they're in the middle of a redesign and manufacturing the new version . No estimate on when they'll be ready.

Dale, have you had to change the battery yet?

My tech ended up buying a Stihl backpack sprayer. Price was around $120 and Stihl will service them if anything breaks. So far my tech loves it and hasn't had any problems.

Hey guys have you seen the maruyma electric backpacks? They are on the pricy side of things but they really do the job amazingly well! They start at $500 but are worth every penny! The only thing is they are hard to find a dealer. Maruyama

I have ordered one of the Fastpac sprayers after reading this thread. I am hoping for big things from it.

They have changed the Fastpacs from my old one over the last few years. The only thing I had to do with mine was order a lower volume nozzle for it. In fact it took my th third time to get the right one. At first, it would put out like crazy..too much. It would empty out in five minutes, no kidding.

Finally I hit on the lowest nozzle they had. I can still run around a house as fast my legs will take me, and still empty out all four gallons in no time. So you will have to get the hang of it.

Thomas, it has been so long. I will look at it tomorrow. I think it was the lower number. Fastpac will know.
