Gough, owner of Antrim Pest Control, Mansfield, Ohio, wins an Actisol Compact Unit.
MANSFIELD, Ohio — Michael Gough, owner of Antrim Pest Control, Mansfield, Ohio, is the winner of Actisol Sweepstakes. Gough’s name was randomly drawn from a pool of entrants from a recent PCT Online giveaway. He wins an Actisol Compact Unit, a system that mixes a low volume of insecticide with a high volume of air to provide effective elimination of insects in deep harborage environments.
Gough has been involved in the pest control industry for the last 30 years, including the last three years running his own business, Antrim Pest Control, which offers both residential and commercial pest control services throughout the Mansfield, Ohio area.
“We keep expanding and expanding and to so in a bad economy we must be doing something right,” said Gough, who noted that his company has grown 300% from its first year in business until now. “Both our residential and commercial services have grown to the point where we’ll be looking to hire people next year.” Currently, Antrim Pest Control is a one-person operation.
Gough said one of his niches has been servicing hospitals and other medical facilities, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering his pest control career began with the Richland County Health Department 30 years ago. Through his work with the health department Gough became acquainted with the Hahn family, owners of Hahn Exterminating. Gough worked for Hahn from 1987 until 2009 before starting up his own company.
When he’s not at work, Gough enjoys photography as well as boating and fishing.
