MINNEAPOLIS – MGK announced the launch of Hyperion Advanced Mist Concentrate, a new product that delivers kill and proven three-day residual activity against mosquitoes, according to MGK.

Available immediately, the new Hyperion Advanced Mist Concentrate is the next generation of mosquito control technology for residential misting application. Engineered for use in misting systems, Hyperion utilizes a proprietary MGK formulation that allows stable dilution in water and is effective at very low mix rates.

According to MGK, Hyperion is the first residential misting product that uses the active ingredient that has been widely used to combat many notable mosquito outbreaks following hurricanes such as Katrina and Rita, as well as during the West Nile virus outbreak in 2012.

Monika Morris, market manager for Branded Products, says the new Hyperion Advanced Mist Concentrate complements the MGK family of misting products in a variety of ways.

"Hyperion is a truly exciting product that delivers advanced technology that is based on an active ingredient that is new to the mosquito misting market, so it expands our mosquito portfolio dramatically,” said Morris. "Having the next generation of misting technology that is proven to delivers residual activity for up to three days adds to every mosquito control professional’s arsenal of mosquito control solutions.”

"In addition to being a new active ingredient for the mosquito misting market, Hyperion gives mosquito control professionals the opportunity to utilize MGK’s proprietary formulation that is easy to mix, provides stability in solution and reduces dilution variability due to consistent droplet size,” she added.

"MGK’s new Hyperion comes in 32-ounce bottles, is effective at low mixing rates, and provides a residual for up to three days. It’s designed specifically for residential mosquito misting systems as well as use in horse barns.”

Hyperion can be applied outdoors with backpack sprayers and blowers, and handheld sprayers, in and around horse barns and outdoors in residential misting systems. Hyperion is developed to be effective against mosquitoes, stable flies, fire brats, ants, flying moths, and other nuisance insects.
