Macy’s Termite & Pest Control announced two winners from their booth at the 2011 Venice Area Chamber of Commerce’s Consumer Expo held at the Venice Community Center, Oct. 21-22. Eugene Krill and Mary Geekie of Venice, Fla., each won a $15 Starbucks Gift Certificates from entering their names in the Macy’s Facebook promotion drawing at the event. As part of expanding their company, Macy’s has created an informational and engaging Facebook Fan Page, offering their followers exclusive green termite and pest control promotions and discounts.

“We were so happy to hear their voices (Krill and Geekie) when we called to give them the ‘Good News’,” said John Macy, relationship developer of Macy’s Termite & Pest Control.

Macy’s booth at the 2011 VACC Consumer Expo also created a lot of attention and positive feedback aside from the contest.

“Macy’s signage was beautiful. What I noticed about their booth the most was the energy. They were up and ready to interact with the consumers. Every time I looked over they were talking with another visitor. Their interaction was spectacular and it was the key to the success of their booth,” said Donna Pirozzi, Membership and Sales Director of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s Consumer Expo was a success for the growing company. Macy’s plans to continue to participate in more events and functions in the areas they serve. Through the use of social media and being a fan online, consumers will be entitled to more savings and incentives not available anywhere else. These events will help consumers interact and engage online. Their next appearance will be at the Sarasota Naturally Expo in downtown Sarasota, Nov. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
