FAIRFAX, Va. — The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announced the launch of PestFactor — a new and innovative competition for the pest management industry.
Sponsored by Univar Environmental Sciences, PestFactor seeks video submissions from sales and service technicians articulating in 60 seconds or less why they should be considered the most passionate technician in the industry.  The individual who articulates this best in a creative, fun and informational way will be selected to receive an all-expense paid trip to Disney World to attend PestWorld 2014.
"Attracting qualified talent to the pest management industry is a common concern among PMPs. And,while our industry is an exciting place to work, made up of men and women who have dedicated their careers toprotecting health and environment, there do exist challenges to recruiting technicians," stated NPMA Executive Vice President Bob Rosenberg.  "This competition is part of a much larger industry response to increase the pool of highly trained, highly skilled pest management professionals."
"Through our 65 Univar ProCenters we routinely get a chance to interact with technicians across the country and hear firsthand accounts of what makes pest professionals passionate about their work," said Karl Kisner, vice president of marketing for Univar Agriculture & Environmental Sciences. "That's why we are so excited about this competition. We want to know why you like doing what you do, what your favorite parts of the job are and how you have risen to new heights because of opportunities available to you as a pest professional."
