PestWorld 2010 – The Event for International Delegates

NPMA PestWorld 2010, scheduled for Oct. 20-23, in Honolulu, Hawaii, provides international delegates with an opportunity to meet contacts and customers from around the world in one venue. Last year’s PestWorld included 545 international attendees, representing a total of 58 countries.

PestWorld has established itself as ‘the’ international meeting place for pest professionals. This year it will be held Oct. 20-23, 2010, at the Hawaii Convention Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S.

The length of the journey to Hawaii may initially seem a long way to travel, but if combined with a holiday break, or a stop-over en route to do business elsewhere, it becomes a more manageable proposition.

Pest professionals attend a PestWorld event for one of several reasons. First, virtually all the international traders in pest control products will be there. In a couple of days you can meet contacts and customers from around the world which would otherwise take you weeks to visit individually.

Second, the exhibition with over 150 exhibitors is an ideal spot to check out what is new and what might be on its way to your home country. Or maybe there is the opportunity for you to act as agent in your home territory?

Third, there is an enormous collection of concurrently running seminars delegates can attend. These cover virtually every technical and commercial topic relating to pest control. On the final day, there will be a special global bed bug symposium drawing together industry leaders not only from the USA but also from around the world.

Finally, it’s fun! There is plenty of time to share a beer with colleagues, make new contacts, enjoy the sights and maybe have a holiday at the same time. Situated on the island of Oahu, one of the six main islands that make-up the youngest State in the U.S., Hawaii is world renowned as a tropical paradise with pristine beaches and azure skies. The conference hotel is located on Waikiki beach and with temperatures around 25°C during October it’s an ideal time to visit.

Last year when the event was in Las Vegas, there were over 3,600 delegates in total, of which 545 of them came from overseas, representing a total of 58 countries.

For the international visitor there is a hospitality lounge which overseas delegates can use to make their base, as well as a fully functioning internet café. Delegates attending for the first time are invited to a wine and cheese open house reception, as well as the international delegate’s reception which is always a highlight of the event. Lady delegates are also especially welcome at the Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) reception, whilst accompanying partners are invited to participate in the specially prepared spouse’s program.

PestWorld 2010 will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center with hotel rooms at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa. A special registration rate of $295 is available to international delegates if booked before Sept. 3 or $325 thereafter. Special registration rates are available at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort. Details of these as well as information on the pre- and post event tours to the islands of Maui, Kauai and Oahu can be found at www.npmapestworld.org/events.
