Nisus Acquires Nationwide Sales and Marketing Rights to Termistop

Termite Control Products

Nisus will handle the sales and marketing and distribution of the Termistop products in the pest control industry.

ROCKFORD, Tenn. — Nisus announced that it has completed an agreement with Austin, Texas-based Termimesh to handle the sales and marketing and distribution of the Termistop products in the pest control industry.

Termistops are stainless steel mesh barriers that are used in new construction, they are attached to plumbing and electrical and other foundations penetrations prior to the cement foundation being poured. “When Nisus Corporation approached us to discuss this idea we were very excited about the possibilities, considering their impressive track record in working with the building industry with their Bora-Care product,” says Bobby Jenkins, managing partner, Termimesh.

“With the dramatic growth in the green building industry and our leadership position with green builders, we felt this would be a tremendous opportunity for our Bora-Care pretreaters to have an add-on sale,” said Kevin L. Kirkland, President/CEO of Nisus Corporation. One of the great benefits of Bora-Care has been the creation of sustainable termite solutions, and the Termistops fit that model perfectly by creating a stainless barrier at many of the termite entry points.

“Builders are looking for Green Points whether they are using the LEED for Homes rating system, Earthcraft or the new NAHB Green Program,” says Lee Barrett, Nisus’ new Director of Business Development and International Sales who will head up the division for Nisus. “The combination of Bora-Care termite pretreatments and the Termistops can earn builders 1.5 points with Leeds, 6-8 points with Earthcraft and 8 Points with NAHB Green program. This puts our PMPs in a great position to deliver green points to the builder at a great value.”

The Termistop training is simple and can be done online. For more information or to become a certified installer, contact Lee Barrett at leeb@nisuscorp.com or 865-206-4279.
