EAST MOLINE, Ill.  – The new LRAD Long Range Acoustic Devices from Nixalite generate long range beams of sound waves to deter pest birds and wildlife up to 1¾ miles away, Nixalite reports.

Through focused sound beams, the LRAD devices transmit non-lethal distress calls or alert tones to disperse unwanted birds and wildlife from waste management areas.  Using technology originally developed for the military, the LRAD products are extremely effective over long distances for the control of wildlife at landfills.  Nixalite offers several different models of Long Range Acoustic Devices capable of subduing birds and wildlife in areas that would be difficult to control.
