Ronald Ross to Join Ultra Safe Pest Management

Ross, a veteran entomologist, joins the Boston-based company as director of IPM operations and staff entomologist.

BOSTON, Mass. — Ronald Ross, a veteran entomologist, joins Boston-based Ultra Safe Pest Management as director of IPM operations.

Ultra Safe Pest has become one of the Boston areas' fastest growing companies, according to Ultra Safe President Vic Palermo. "Our ability to meet and exceed client expectations as well as our focus on advanced Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy, has been the driving force behind our growth. Having someone of Ron's experience and expertise join our team will further enhance our services. We feel very fortunate to have him here".

Ross has been in the pest control industry since 1980 and has a B.S. degree in entomology from UMass, Amherst. His experiences touch just about every corner of the industry and beyond. He has worked as staff entomologist for some of the biggest names in the business and has been a member of the Copesan Technical Committee for the past 16 years.

Ron has also written and had published several trade articles including most recently "Springtime Pests" for PCT Magazine.

In addition to training in-house pest professionals for pest control companies, Ross has taught many CEU courses for the states of New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and various municipalities. He has also participated in seminars and presentations for pest control associations and other universities and organizations. He has trained in the field with some of the best entomologists in the industry including, Dr. Austin Frishman, Dr. Robert Corrigan, Jerome Quinlan, William Kolbe of (BASF) and many others.

At Ultra Safe, he will act as director of IPM operations and staff entomologist. His work will include, further enhancing the company’s IPM protocol and services, training staff, educating clients, public speaking and assistance in the field.
