This lesson discusses label directions and the definitions of ‘site’ and ‘tamper-resistant bait stations’. It goes on to discuss the important concept of ‘other interference’ between a rodenticide and children, pets or domestic animals. The potential for secondary poisoning is covered along with what to do with uneaten bait and the chances of creating an odor from dead rodents. Finally, technicians are cautioned to read and follow label directions but to avoid being overly cautious in using rodenticides, beyond what the label directs.
