This is the fourteenth module in a series of Pesticide courses that address the use of pesticides in your daily work, including safety, IPM, application, laws and regulation. This module is all about FIFRA, the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, and its provisions. It also covers state laws in general and discusses some of the aspects of regulation that the Federal government left to the states to decide. Finally, the inspection criteria of government agencies are covered briefly, as well as the criteria of private audit agencies including organic certifying agencies.
