RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.  – Bayer Environmental Science, a business of Bayer CropScience LP, has announced that Temprid SC insecticide is now registered and available for indoor use in the state of New York.

“New York has been a battleground for bed bug control, consistently listed as one of the most infested states in the country,” says Eric Lentz, general insect control marketing manager for Bayer Environmental Science. “We are thrilled to offer pest management professionals (PMPs) in New York a new weapon in the fight against bed bugs. By providing fast, effective control, Temprid can help PMPs overcome their toughest infestations.”

Temprid can now be applied indoors to combat bed bugs in the places they hide, including mattresses, box springs, headboards, bed frames, upholstery, curtains, picture frames and carpet edges.

Temprid's fusion of imidacloprid and beta-cyfluthrin controls bed bugs quickly. Temprid also provides long-lasting residual performance, controlling resistant bed bugs for more than 30 days, even on fabrics where other products have failed, Bayer reports. In addition, Temprid kills bed bug eggs when applied as a direct treatment and, more surprisingly, dried residues prevent eggs from hatching.

“With Temprid, PMPs in New York can now solve bed bug problems faster, even on pyrethroid resistant strains and bed bug eggs, without sacrificing their businesses’ profitability,” says Lentz.
