ST. LOUIS, Mo. — BASF Pest Control Solutions announced that Jim Derbyshire will assume the role of national sales manager, and Greg Good joined the company as termite marketing manager for the Pest Control Solutions business.
Derbyshire will spearhead implementation of the company’s product strategy and oversee national sales activities. “Jim Derbyshire is a highly-respected industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience,” said Keith Holmes, business unit manager for BASF Pest Control Solutions. “Jim has a long history with the Whitmire business as well as extensive experience in the pest control industry and brings outstanding customer focus and solid business acumen to this position.”
Derbyshire has been with BASF-Whitmire-Microgen since 1999 and has held numerous positions including technical services manager, product manager and most recently, regional sales manager for the Northern United States. Prior to joining BASF, he spent 12 years with a pest control company in the Northeast filling a variety of roles from field technician to operations manager.
The company has also made a change to the regions – The Southern Sales Region has been split between the newly expanded Eastern and Western Sales Regions. Jeff Vannoy will be responsible for nine sales representatives in the East and Mike Toce will be responsible for ten sales representatives in the West.
Good will oversee marketing activities for the company’s termiticide portfolio, including Termidor termiticide/insecticide, Phantom termiticide-insecticide and the Advance Termite Bait System.
“Greg brings with him a strong marketing and business skill set bolstered by extensive marketing consulting experience in a number of different industries,” said Holmes. “Greg’s experience will be a true asset to our BASF team as he continues to develop new products and markets for our termite control business."
Prior to joining BASF, Good worked in product marketing with 3M Corporation and Vistage International and most recently as a consultant focusing on strategic marketing and product development in a variety of business and consumer markets.
Good earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University and an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
