FAIRFAX, Va. — Canines have quickly emerged as an important and widely accepted tool to detect bed bugs and termites. In response, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) has created the National Canine Conference: Solutions for Scent Detection Professionals.
This one-of-a-kind event is designed to provide guidance to pest management professionals who own or are interested in using canines to detect insects. Attendees will receive the information they need from a legal, technical, business, and customer-oriented perspective.
In addition, NPMA will be cooperating with third-party canine scent detection certification organizations to facilitate certification testing on site throughout the National Canine Conference. Canine teams are encouraged to attend to get certified in accordance with the NPMA Bed Bug Best Management Practices.
The traveling workshop series is the most recent product offered by NPMA in its continuing effort to offer education and guidance as pest management professionals and consumers develop their response to the bed bug pandemic.
