NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Many mid-state (Tennessee) neighborhoods are still recovering from the recent flood, and they have other issues to contend with including insects and rodents, Newschannel5.com reports.

Local pest management professionals (PMPs) have been busier than usual the past few weeks trying to get rid of the unwanted pests.

Russell Cochran had his hands full Monday. Since the flood waters receded the work has been non-stop for Nashville Pest Control.

"We've been pretty busy. They're just almost working us to death," said company owner Gregory Cochran.

PMPs said the problem is two fold. The flood forced many insects and rodents from their nesting place and most are now hunting for food. The cleanup in many neighborhoods makes for the perfect recipe for problems.
