LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Michael Woodring, general manager at Bug Zero, Springfield, Mo., will be joining Phil Across America on their 70-mile journey from Ash Grove, Mo., to Pittsburg, Kan..

Woodring was drawn to the ride because of his respect for the individuals who support worthy causes and had this to say: “I admire and appreciate the individuals who are willing to take up the fight, raise awareness, and raise the important research dollars for their causes close to their hearts!”

For others considering joining the Trans-Am ride Michael Woodring offered these words of encouragement: “Having known Phil for eight years I’m confident accommodations will be top-notch, every detail well planned out, and a good time had by all.”

Phil Across America which begun on June 1, 2012 is now coasting into its second week with Cooper leaving Virginia and peddling into Kentucky. Cooper is encouraging his colleagues in the pest management industry to support his journey by either donating or by participating in the ride itself.  Take advantage of the “Just Bring Yourself” method, which provides riders with all of the essentials to ride cross-country including a bike, tent, air mattress, and food. Riders who participate in the “Just Bring Yourself” method only have to provide biking clothing and a helmet.

FOLLOW PHIL. To learn more about the ride or how to join Phil Across America, visit www.philacrossamerica.com. At that site visitors can donate to MS, follow Phil on the “Route Tracker” and become a sponsor.

Below are the list of towns that Phil and the MS riders will be riding through in Missouri. Phil has listed the dates, but times of day vary greatly depending on the terrain, weather and physical conditions of the riders that day, so there really isn’t a way to say what time they will be in what town. The chart following the listing will show starting and ending points. Generally they begin their days at approximately 8 a.m., and end sometime in the afternoon. Maybe you’d like to meet up for breakfast, snack or dinner. Of course, you just might want to stand by the side of the road and cheer them on, in any case Phil would love to see you.

If you’d like to go out and root Phil and the other MS riders on please contact Kate Baker (Director of All Things Important) at 609/378-3530 or email her at kate.baker@philacrossamerica.com and she will be able to coordinate a place and time frame.
