RK Environmental is hosting Food Safety and Pest Management 2013, Oct. 2-3, at Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

Day 1 starts out with continental breakfast and mingling, after which seminar host and RK Environmental President Hank Hirsch kicks off the event with a brief history of food safety before introducing keynote speaker Al St. Cyr from AIB, who will discuss the current status and future of food safety auditing.

Joe Corby, Executive Director at the Association of Food & Drug Officials, will disclose what attendees need to know regarding the Food Safety Modernization Act.
The presentation by Robert D. Towey, a partner at Lowenstein Sandler law firm, covers the legal aspect of food safety while Dominique Sauvage, bringing decades of pest control experience in the global food and pharmaceutical industries, will discuss what to expect from your integrated pest management partner.
Seminar Combines Fun and Collaboration

Day 2 will focus on issues involving pest management related to food safety. Notable speakers include research scientist Bobby Corrigan, a specialist in pest control on an international scale, who will share insights on advanced rodent control, and Rich Gibson, Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance for Comprehensive Food Safety, speaking about GFSI and integrated pest management.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Research Entomologist James Campbell, Ph.D., will outline the latest issues involving stored-product insects as well as innovations in pheromone technology. Dow AgroSciences specialist Marty Morgan and entomologist Dave Mueller each share key pest management solutions regarding fumigants in the food industry. Well-known entomologist Jeff Tucker will round out the day with key perspectives on advanced techniques for fly management in a food environment.
Hank Hirsch’s certificate presentation and closing remarks will conclude the event.
