BURTONSVILLE, MD — American Pest Management announced plans to implement a new logo, beginning Jan. 1, 2010. The colors and font have been updated to represent the company’s continued growth and success, but will still maintain the patriotic look and feel by preserving the red, white, and blue of the former logo.
“In 1925 Paul Calvert Cissel built this company on the philosophy of prompt, courteous service at a fair price,” says Board Certified Entomologist Wayne White, “and we will continue to honor his ideals with our ‘American’ pride and heritage.”
The last major change to the logo occurred in 1997, when the company changed to the current logo from the “American Disinfectant Company” logo.
“Over the years we have adopted many changes, but we’re still the same responsible and reliable pest control company you have come to know,” says Miranda Sherman, marketing and advertising manager for American Pest Management. “The old-timers will remember that our company helped fight tuberculosis as the American Disinfectant Company during the 1920s health crisis, and here we are today fighting a growing bed bug epidemic. We do everything we can to work with our clients to maintain a healthy and safe environment, free from pests and other harmful infestation.”
The new logo also introduces a minor change to the company name, marking the official transition to "American Pest."
“It became apparent during a recent branding initiative that many of our clients refer to us simply as ‘American Pest,’” says CEO Matt Nixon, “so it just made sense for us to listen and adapt to the feedback that we receive from our loyal customers.”
American Pest Management clients can expect to see the new logo and name change on the website and subsequently on the service vehicles and technician uniforms as early as Jan. 1. The updated American Pest logo may take as much as two years to be fully completed across all lines of business.
