ATLANTA - Arrow Exterminators has wrapped up its first season as the presenting sponsor of the "Threes for Trees" program, an effort between the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and Trees Atlanta, a local citizens' group that protects and improves Atlanta's urban forest.
The season-long initiative included a monetary contribution for every three-pointer the Hawks scored during the regular season. Arrow and the Hawks presented Trees Atlanta with a check for $8,500 during the Hawks' game on April 5.
Additionally, on April 2, Arrow and the Hawks teamed up for a tree planting with Trees Atlanta, which was scheduled in conjunction with NBA Green Week. Arrow team members, along with Hawks players and front office staff, helped prep soil for a meadow and planted a circle of trees along the Atlanta BeltLine.
"Giving back to the local community, in all of the markets we serve, is an important part of Arrow's culture," said Emily Thomas Kendrick, president and CEO, Arrow. "We are thrilled to be able to participate in this valuable community program with the Hawks and Trees Atlanta."
