WASHINGTON, D.C. — The FMC Legislative Day Award was presented to Billy Tesh, president of Pest Management Inc. (PMi) at this year’s event on Monday.
The award is presented annually to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the pest management industry through various activities — particularly legislative involvement — and through their contributions to advancing the industry.
FMC’s Pramod Thota presented the award to Tesh for his many years of support for the pest management industry at the state and national levels.
After receiving the award Tesh commented, “What we started 30 years ago [the first Legislative Day] with the simple goal of trying to get our message out, has resonated throughout D.C. and every state,” Tesh said. “I’m proud stand in front of you and be a part of an industry that is absolutely making positive changes to people’s lives every day.”
Tesh has been involved in the pest management industry since the age of 14. With more than 40 years of experience in the pest management industry, he has been active on both national and state levels. He served as NCPMA president in 1987 and the 2014-2015 president of the National Pest Management Association and has been active in public policy and legislative committees for both organizations for many years. He owns and operates Greensboro-based Pest Management Systems, Inc., which he co-founded with his wife in 1984, and is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
