“We are extremely proud to have been one of Houston’s leading pest control companies for the past 70 years,” said Jeff Keller, regional manager. “Since our founding in 1947, our company has placed an emphasis on providing clients with the highest degree of personal service, outstanding performance and unconditional satisfaction. We can’t wait to continue to serve Houston for the next 70 years and beyond.”
Founded by Lonnie Holder in 1947, Holder’s was the eighth pest control company licensed by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board. Originally named Holder’s Pest Control, the company was recognized for years by Bubba the Roach, the famous cockroach sign that was above the former Holder’s office on Southwest Freeway. After 42 years alongside the freeway, the company rebranded to Holder’s Pest Solutions in 2012 and retired its iconic logo.
The rebranding reflected the company’s evolution to provide pest solutions to both residential and commercial clients, while focusing on providing the highest level of quality service and accountability throughout the business. The company utilizes the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach, a comprehensive pest control strategy that provides long-term pest solutions while supporting the sustainability of the earth.
The company celebrated its 70th anniversary at a company-wide event on August 1, 2017. Employees were given a Bubba the Roach t-shirt to honor Holder’s unique and influential presence in the Houston area and enjoyed a catered lunch.
