NEW YORK — The Jenkins brothers — Bobby, Raleigh and Dennis, owners of ABC Home & Commercial Services based in Austin, Houston and Dallas, respectively — finished their cross-country bicycle tour at New York City’s Battery Park on July 13.

The bike tour, which was launched on May 22 from Anacortes, Wash., crossed 13 states and 3,500 miles all to raise money for a pair of charities the brothers are passionate about: The Moss Pieratt Foundation and A Child’s Hope. You can still donate to these causes here and retrace their journey at https://brothersbike.org/our-trip/.

In addition to reaching the finish line, the final week's journey included a Friday television appearance on ABC’s "Good Morning America," in which the brothers had an opportunity to spread the word about the Brothers Bike as well as the Moss Pieratt Foundation and A Child's Hope.

Bobby Jenkins posted the following on Facebook:

So today was the day that we have been working so hard for. After 3500 miles on a bicycle and 13 states covered we finally reached NYC and met our families at Battery Park. The day was not without its challenges, as I had 3 flats, the temp and humidity were sky high and of course we had to be escorted off of another highway. Getting down to Battery Park and crossing the George Washington Bridge was made so much easier as we had Laura Crandall the executive director of SUDC ride with us and show us the way.

Our arrival at Battery Park was fantastic as we had many of our family members there to greet us. We dipped our front tires into the Atlantic and had a toast of champagne.

This has been an incredible trip and one I will never forget. Getting to spend this time with my brothers, mom, and my fabulous daughter Chelsea will be a memory that I will cherish forever. Of course the "why" of the trip us what this was all about. Raising awareness and resources for the Moss Pieratt Foundation and A Child's Hope have been the motivation of this trip from day one. Hopefully with everyone's help we will hit our fundraising goals and make a impact on parents who have lost children and children who have lost parents.

Thank you to all who have followed this journey and supported us with your kind words of encouragement and to those who have made a financial contribution. We will be forever grateful!!!!
