WALL, N.J. — Marathon Data Systems is proud to welcome Shawn Cantor as chief revenue officer.
Cantor comes to Marathon from ReachLocal, where he acted as vice president of North American Sales. During his time with ReachLocal, Cantor launched the sales channel in 2006 and grew it to over 600 employees, 49 offices, and over 200 million in annual revenue. As CRO, Cantor will lead all Marathon’s sales efforts, including ongoing new business sales, go to market planning and execution, as well as strategic initiatives which will map sales success to our product road map.
Cantor’s addition to the company comes on the heels of the recent addition of Shankar Jagannathan as chief operating officer, continuing Marathon’s focus on adding the top tier talent needed to improve the service it provides its 7,000+ active customers while improving its accelerated growth going forward. “I’m extremely excited to add someone of Shawn’s caliber to our team,” said Chris Sullens, Marathon Data Systems’ President and CEO. “It’s a testament to what we’ve built but more importantly to the enormous opportunities in front of us to build on our leadership position in the field service and transportation and logistics industries. Prior to ReachLocal, Shawn founded JAC Media, which provided specific lead generation sites for the medical and legal verticals, this quickly morphed into a full service interactive digital agency across the United States and culminated in a partnership with ReachLocal in 2005. Shawn cut his teeth on Wall Street and spent six years as an investment adviser with Barington Capital Group. Shawn holds Series 7 and 63 General Securities Representative as well as his Series 24 General Securities Principal from FINRA, and has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
