LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.— BedBug Central has announced that attendance space has sold out for its national conference titled, BedBug University: North American Summit 2010.
Event organizers have opened a waiting list for parties interested in attending due to cancellations by current registrants. Organizers have also opened an early notification list for the 2011 BedBug University: North American Summit, which can be found at http://www.nabedbugsummit2010.com/.
The two-day summit will be held Sept. 21-22 in Chicago, IL at the Rosemont Hyatt. During this 48-hour period, attendees will learn actionable strategies for bed bug control, legal protection, treatment cost containment, and much more with a level of depth never before provided in a single seminar.
Phillip Cooper, president of BedBug Central, noted that the volume of interest in the BedBug University: North American Summit and has begun planning to host national summits in both the eastern and western regions of the country in 2011.
“We designed our initial summit with limited capacity to ensure that we provided our attendees with direct access to vendors, exhibitors and speakers to help them forge meaningful business partnerships and learning opportunities,” said Cooper. “Based on the shocking level of interest that we’ve received, we look forward to expanding the summit considerably next year.”
While attendance is currently capped at 300 registrants, 53 vendors and 10 sponsors, event organizers fully expect additional space to become available and encourage interested parties to join the waiting list to ensure they receive notification as registration space opens.
Cooper attributes the popularity of this summit to the urgent need for quality and actionable information about bed bugs and the concerns associated with this pervasive pest.
The caliber of speakers at BedBug University’s North American Summit 2010 include: Dr. Michael Potter, Dr. Dini Miller, Dr. Changlu Wang and Dr. Stephen Kells in addition to bed bug legal experts such as Christian Hardigree among many other renowned presenters.
The breadth of speakers will offer attendees an unparalleled opportunity to learn from 14 of the nation’s leading entomologist and bed bug specialists alongside the largest gathering of bed bug-industry related vendors.
To provide a greater depth of information, the summit is broken into seminars that are three hours in length, providing attendees with an in-depth look at specific bed bug topics from entomologists and bed bug experts. Attendees will then view presentations from topic-related vendors and learn how to integrate the acquired knowledge into an actionable bed bug protocol and profitable business model.
