Phil Across America Updates:
- Molly Steadfast a graduate Urban Entomology Student, studying under Dr. Dini Miller at Virginia Tech will join Phil Across America for three days in Virginia. She will be accompanied by her two friends Tim Jordan and James Wilson. The group will join Phil Across America in Troutville, Virginia and ride to Wytheville, Virginia.
- Phil Across America takes on a new twist beginning Thursday June 7 as the New Jersey Pest Management Association (NJPMA) brings quicker and bigger cycles to the ride across the US, motorcycles. The idea, dreamed up by the NJPMA executive leadership mixes their avid passion for riding motorcycles with supporting the cause. The ride, which starts in Virginia and ends in California, goes no-where near New Jersey and this created challenges for NJPMA. Wanting to get involved by throwing a party in support of the cause seemed impossible and then creative thinking took over. The current President, Ralph Citarella is an avid cyclist and not of the pedaling variety. So, is the immediate past President Garry Milsom and NPMA Past-President and NPMA Past-President Bernie Holst. The trio said who needs pedals to cycle when you have a Harley. So New Jersey's version of the Wild Hogs will set out this coming Wednesday and will ride to Blacksburg to join the 18 Bike the US Cyclists and Phil for dinner and a great time. Cooper is hopeful to try and get them to come out on the ride for a bit on Thursday along the route. “I have big plans for them when they send us off on Friday. I know their plan is to ride straight back to Jersey but I will be trying to convince them to follow the support van and ride along the bike route to root on my fellow firstname.lastname@example.org as we ride from Blacksburg to Wyetheville, “ stated Cooper. “It warms my heart for my New Jersey friends to make this long trip in support of the ride. It is something I will never forget.” NJPMA is also calling on other members of the industry to join the fun and not just New Jersey folks. If you have a motorcycle and wish to come out in support of this, contact Leonard Douglen, Executive Director NJPMA at email@example.com or Garry Milsom at Delseapest@aol.com.
