CLEARWATER, Fla. — Safer Home Services President and CEO Jim Swayne announced the opening of the company’s first franchise location in Tyrone, Ga., a southwestern suburb of Atlanta.

The Atlanta area franchise will be owned and operated by Bob Benbow of Peachtree City, Ga. Benbow has over 28 years in the pest and termite industry and was a former colleague of Jim Swayne and Chuck Steinmetz at Sears Authorized Termite & Pest Control where he was the Southeast Region manager. Benbow has operated his own pest and termite control business, Environmental Pest Specialists, for the last 18 years and will be folding his current customers into the Safer Home Services franchise business.

“I’m excited to join the Safer Home Services family and especially happy to be working with Jim and Chuck again," said Benbow. "They have built a world-class service delivery company that focuses first and foremost on customer satisfaction. The Safer Home Services business model leverages an industry-best cash flow design and higher margins so franchisees can experience the same rapid growth as the parent company has.”

Added Swayne, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have  Bob on board. We look for-ward to helping him build a great business in Atlanta.”

Swayne also spoke about the importance of franchising and the Georgia market in particular. “Franchising offers Safer another important growth avenue and access to talent we wouldn’t have other-wise. Georgia is a great pest and termite market and one we have a lot of experience in and have had lots of success there in the past.“
