FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia Pest Management Association (VPMA) last month launched its brand new and responsive web design at www.VPMAOnline.com.  The user-friendly design was created by BCS Website Services, a website hosting and development company that practices best SEO practices and technology for their clientele.

VPMA’s mission, to promote ethical and environmentally responsible pest management practices among our members through education, coalition and professionalism to safely protect the general public is better served through our new web design.  Perhaps the farthest reaching design change is the mobile device friendly accessibility.

When asked about this new mobile accessibility, VPMA President Beth Duncan had this to say, “More people today, including the largest groups in our target audience – consumers in Virginia and the staff and technicians of our member companies – are relying on their smartphones to access the internet.  Now, our website is mobile friendly.”

The professional designers at BCS Website Services, worked with the VPMA team to build key content areas that improved the flow of information depending on the individual needs of the people accessing the website. The new design is faster, cleaner and optimized to ensure a smoother user experience – regardless of what device they use to access it.

Some of the main features of the re-designed website showcase a cleaner, more attractive and updated design, enhanced content and navigation and easier access to all the content.  With the responsive HTML design, visitors do not have to resize to read an item, and can access the website on the go.  Since many technicians in pest management use hand held devices for paperwork and on-site consumer education, our website can now be an integral tool in their interface with their customers.

Consumers visiting www.VPMAOnline.com will find information about the extensive training that VPMA provides to pest management professionals in Virginia; including lists of technicians who have been certified as a VPMA WDI Inspector or who have earned the VPMA Master Technician designation.  In addition, consumers can find member pest control companies in their area, and pest identification and prevention resources. Consumers can also find information about the VPMA dispute resolution and mediation service.

When asked about the investment of time and money into the new website, David Outhous, Chair of the VPMA IT Committee replied, “Our investment of money, and especially our time, was absolutely worth the results! In addition to the ease with which readers can navigate through our website, the mobile accessibility was a necessity.  With Google’s announcement earlier this year that it would target any unresponsive websites from mobile based searches, it became critically important to update our website with this mobile feature.  The team at BCS Website Services did a remarkable job of marrying our needs with their design recommendations and technical proficiency to create a new web design that we are absolutely happy with.”
