Pair of Companies Become bedbugFREE

Craig Thomas Pest Control, of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Hersh Exterminating Service, of Hermitage, Pa., are the most recent bedbugFREE members.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.  – Craig Thomas Pest Control, of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Hersh Exterminating Service, of Hermitage, Pa., are the most recent bedbugFREE members.

Both companies are now a part of a national network of pest management firms committed to the guidelines and practices of Bed Bug Central.

Craig Thomas Pest Control services the entire Hudson Valley Region and has been family owned and operated since the 1940s. Craig Thomas sought out Bed Bug Central and membership with the bedbugFREE to distinguish themselves as leaders in bed bug management.

“Becoming a member of bedbugFREE was an easy decision. Craig Thomas Pest Control prides itself on going above and beyond basic certifications and educating our customers,” said Sarah Thomas of CTPC. “We wanted to align ourselves with a designation that represents a leader in knowledge and experience relating to bedbugs.”
Hersh Exterminating, Inc. has serviced Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania for more that six decades. Hersh prides itself on taking a personal interest in the protecting our clients' health and property from pests. Hersh sought out Bed Bug Central and membership with bedbugFREE to ensure their clients have access to the latest bed bug research and treatment options.

“By becoming BedbugFREE, our clients now have access to state of art information that will allow them to make informed choices when bed bugs become a problem,” said David Hersh of HES. “They will also have access to information that will help prevent introducing bed bugs into their home.”

ScottsMiracle-Gro Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Action Pest Control

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company announced that its subsidiary EG Systems, Inc., doing business as Scotts LawnService, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Action Pest Control, Evansville Ind., which ranked 56th on the 2014 PCT Top 100 list, with annual revenues of $11.6 million.
