NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. - CimeXa Insecticide Dust from Rockwell Labs is now registered in California, the company announced. PMPs in California will now be able to experience the exceptional efficacy of CimeXa against bed bugs, spiders, fleas, ticks, lice, roaches, ants, firebrats, silverfish, drywood termites and mites that PMPs around the country have enjoyed since January 2012, Rockwell said.

CimeXa is comprised of 100 percent engineered amorphous silica and is odorless, non-staining, non-repellent, and lasts up to ten years when undisturbed, the manufacturer reports. The exceptional absorption of water (in liquid form, but not humidity) and oil, destroys the waxy cuticle, causing rapid dehydration and death. While as much or more potent than many synthetic chemicals, amorphous silica has an excellent, extremely low toxicity profile and is even allowed as a food additive, Rockwell reports.

CimeXa is not subject to California Prop 65 regulations. Compared to diatomaceous earth, CimeXa has much greater potency so control results will be at least three times faster, and CimeXa is also more consistent in quality and is guaranteed to have virtually zero crystalline content, Rockwell said.

The broad label allows the product to be used to treat cracks, crevices, voids, mattresses, carpets, pet rest areas, attics and many other areas. Unlike most products, CimeXa can be applied as a dust, perfect for voids or gallery injection, or can be mixed with water and applied as a spray, which leaves a fine coating of the dust adhered to surfaces without introducing large amounts of dust into the air.

The product is available in quart size bottles which hold 4 ounces of the extremely light dust and 5 gallon buckets that hold 5 pounds. The standard usage rate is 2 oz per 100 square feet. CimeXa is available now through distribution. For further information visit www.rockwelllabs.com connect with your Rockwell representative or call 816/283-3167.
