Supplier’s door panels convert your existing truck or shipping container into a mobile heat unit.

| January 14, 2011

Bed Bug Innovations provides engineered heat solutions to the rental, retail and industrial, transportation and imported goods markets that discreetly and effectively treat bed bug infestations. The firm brings 20 years of experience in thermal pest.

Truck Conversions. Bed Bug Innovations’ patent-pending Integrated Thermal Door Panel converts your existing truck or shipping container into a mobile heat unit. The furniture, clothing or other goods are loaded into the truck following a pre-heating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), then heated for the prescribed period of time using and then unloaded back into the warehouse or store, bed bug free, the firm reports.

What is the Bed Bug Innovations Technology? Every living organism has a thermal death point. As a pest eradication method, heat has been around for decades. Heat chambers have been designed and manufactured to treat various types of infested items which can be loaded into a designated space for heating purposes. The challenge, however, is much more difficult than just turning on a heater. Bed Bug Innovations combines the efficacy of heat with the usefulness of a heat chamber which does not require the purchase of a dedicated heat compartment. An enclosed delivery or moving truck becomes the chamber so that items do not have to be unloaded into a designated space for heat treatments. Creating this unique mobile heat chamber does not require structurally modifying the truck in any way and can be used with any size truck door opening.

Bed Bug Innovations is the engineered application of heat to a truck and its contents for the purpose of killing bed bugs. In order to accomplish the Bed Bug Innovations process, we raise air temperatures to between 160°F and 180°F in order to heat the contents to a minimum internal temperature of 120°F, which is held for four hours. This is no hotter than found inside a parked car on a hot summer day. Bed bugs can try to escape but they have nowhere cool to hide. The BBI Thermal Door Panel system reverses the laws of thermodynamics with floor temperatures 10°F to 25°F hotter than ceiling temperatures during treatment.
