New DiamondBack 270 integrates a butterfly design, rear-access panel and other features.

PHILIPSBURG, Pa. — DiamondBack Truck Covers has introduced the new DiamondBack 270. Developed to provide full access to the truck bed from each side and the rear, the DiamondBack 270 integrates a butterfly design with a rear-access panel, providing full and easy access to the truck bed with additional versatility, the company says.

DiamondBack says the durable diamond-plate cover seals securely with steel lock rods, neoprene gaskets, a hinge gutter, and locking mechanisms on both sides and at the rear to keep truck bed contents secure, clean and dry. The 270 is available in the standard 2-inch profile as well as a 4-inch profile to enhance bed volume, and accommodates a variety of cargo management options, including DiamondBack’s 4-inch, 8-inch or 18-inch bins to keep tools, equipment and other cargo from shifting during transport.

“We’ve developed the 270 based upon input we’ve received from our work truck, fleet and sportsman customers,” said Ethan Wendle, president of DiamondBack Truck Covers. “Many of our customers need the utility of a cover that provides access to the truck bed on the sides of the truck while also offering access to the rear, including the ability to open and/or remove the rear panel for hauling tall or oversized items.”
