Marlon Ferreira (right), founder of The Exterminators (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo, Sri Lanka, was named a Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2010.COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Marlon Ferreira, founder of The Exterminators (Pvt) Ltd, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was named a Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 at both the national and provincial levels, at the 15th Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year Awards held in December.

The nation’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry organizes the event each year. Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne was guest of honor at the ceremony.

The awards seek to recognize the most successful Sri Lankans each year and are considered one of the highest honors bestowed in its business community.

Ferreira won a Bronze Award in 2009. He started The Exterminators in 1998 with just a motorbike and a technician, and today holds numerous awards and certifications.
