Philadelphia, PA. — The Potomac Company announced recently that it served as the exclusive financial advisor to DeerTech, a leading deer deterrent solutions company, in its sale to SavATree, a leading provider of tree, shrub and lawn care services. This partnership brings together two experts in deer deterrent services, the firms say.

DeerTech’s patented Three Circles of Protection protects shrubs and plants from hungry deer. The service combines a patented ultra-sound technology with a proprietary spraying program. Combining these two methodologies adds maximum protection to prevent deer from adapting, the company says.

DeerTech is a proven solution with thousands of satisfied residential and commercial customers throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware, company officials say.

SavATree says it looks forward to continuing to provide DeerTech customers with an unsurpassed deer deterrent solution as well as easy access to their complete list of landscape care services.

“Both organizations were built on providing the highest level of service through skilled local people and cutting edge technologies,” said SavATree President, Daniel van Starrenburg. “Through this merger, we are enhancing the deer deterrent service we offer — which we believe is now best in the industry.”

DeerTech CEO, Alan Seiler stated, “We have admired and respected SavATree’s focus on quality customer service for years. Through years of experience and research, DeerTech has learned how to outsmart hungry deer. We are extremely excited about partnering with a well-established leader that provides an even stronger value proposition to both existing and new customers.”

The Potomac Company, an investment banking firm with a transaction advisory group dedicated exclusively to the lawn, landscape and pest control industries, represented and acted as exclusive financial advisor to DeerTech. The firm provides middle market companies and financial sponsors with merger and acquisitions, capital structure, restructuring and valuation advisory services.
