NEW YORK, N.Y. — Bed bugs, it seems, are everywhere in the Big Apple. But what’s hype and what’s reality? How big a problem are bed bugs, really? And what is the city doing to stop them?  Entomologist Louis Sorkin of the New York Entomological Society and Renee Corea, former director of New York vs. Bed Bugs, are joined by a panel of pest management professionals, journalists and city officials to discuss how the recent plague of bed bugs is affecting city life and culture.

Co-sponsored by the New York Entomological Society, the event is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the museum. Cost is $6 for museum members; $8 for seniors and students; and $12 for non-members. If you mention Pest Control Technology/PCT Media Group, you’ll qualify for the $6 rate. To make a reservation, call 917/492-3395 or e-mail programs@mcny.org.
