The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently approved additional label claims to the Temprid SC product label. Temprid SC, a broad-spectrum insecticide, offers pest management professionals effective control of more than 50 pests, the firm says.

“We are dedicated to providing PMPs with the tools they need to create pest-free spaces that promote public health and support thriving communities,” said Norman Barclift, marketing manager, General Insect Control, Bayer. “Temprid SC’s flexible label helps PMPs achieve control of perimeter pests so they can reduce callbacks, increase profits and simplify their business operations.”

The additional label claims include: kills pyrethroid-resistant bed bugs and eggs; is non-repellent to bed bugs; prevents bed bug infestations for up to six months; provides a residual efficacy not affected by bed bug heat treatments (up to eight hours of exposure in 140°F); control of brown marmorated stink bugs and kudzu bugs; and kills stink bugs that feed on protected plants for up to four weeks.

Available as a suspension concentrate, 1 gallon of the product contains 2 pounds of imidacloprid and 1 pound of beta-cyfluthrin. Temprid SC is available in a 400-ml bottle, and is designed for application in and around buildings and structures, as well as on established landscape ornamentals around residential and commercial properties.

Bird-B-Gone

www.birdbgone.com

Bird-B-Gone has released Bird-Off Clear Gel. Bird-Off Clear Gel is made from all-natural, environmentally sensitive ingredients and is safe for use around humans, birds and animals, the firm reports.

Bird-Off Clear Gel is ideal for any surfaces where birds may congregate or roost, including pipes, HVAC units, conduits, I-beams and ledges, Bird-B-Gone said. The gel is heat-resistant, non-corrosive and easily applied with a caulking gun. The smell, taste and texture of the product is offensive to birds, which are then conditioned not to return to the affected area.

Bird-Off Clear Gel is a humane method for deterring pest birds and can be used in commercial and residential applications, Bird-B-Gone says. The gel is easily removed with mineral spirits, a solvent available at many hardware stores.

MGK

www.mgk.com

MGK’s Exponent Insecticide Synergist, an emulsifiable concentrate for use as a tank mix with insecticides, is now labeled for use in residential misting systems.

Exponent helps by inhibiting the mixed function oxidative resistance in insects and by increasing insect susceptibility to insecticides, MGK said. The company has received EPA approval of the revised label and is currently securing state-level approvals for Exponent’s new use patterns, said Monika Morris, market manager for Branded Products.

“Pest management and mosquito control professionals being able to utilize Exponent as a insecticide synergist in residential mosquito misting systems is a great expansion not only to the product’s label but to our insect control portfolio overall,” said Morris.

Exponent is labeled for use in food and non-food areas and comes in quart-sized bottles, six per case, and in gallon containers, four per case.
