Kudos for PCT’s iPad Edition, Website
This iPad version is the medium for me. Being digital, I can read issues at my leisure anywhere I travel. I am a one-man operator located in Ashtabula, Ohio. Although I am listed as “president,” in reality I am the service technician, complaint department and everything else. That’s why digital works so well for me. Sometimes there is an unexpected lull between stops and having the ability to read PCT on my phone or iPad is a great use of time. Keep up the great work a PCT!

I just saw PCT Internet Editor Brad Harbison’s interview with Rebecca Baldwin at NPMA PestWorld in Boston and wanted to let you know I really enjoyed it. Great job!

NPMA’s Government Affairs Team Rises to the Task

I was just re-reading PCT Editor Jodi Dorsch’s Viewpoint column in the February issue of PCT and it occurred to me to relate just how effective our NPMA government affairs team was this year. Bob Rosenberg continues his great work in this arena as executive vice president with all his additional responsibilities. Gene Harrington has risen to the challenge of becoming vice president of government affairs. And we all expect great things from Marcia Duke as director of regulatory affairs. (Editor’s note: See related article on page 17.)

Based on the response to PCT’s poll regarding our challenges moving forward, I believe we’re in a great place as an association to not only meet those challenges but to succeed in spite of them. Attendance this year at Legislative Day was up and the participation was great. We set a record for collecting PAC money at the FMC luncheon and our relationships with EPA, manufacturers and state regulators has never been better. The recent changes involving rodenticides and synthetic pyrethroids speak to this fact.

Thanks again to Bob, Gene and Marcia for leading the charge into a future that we know will be loaded with opportunities to continue to successfully resolve our regulatory issues and keep this industry moving forward. And thanks for a great read every month!
