TWINSBURG, Ohio — On Aug. 3, the Canadian patent office granted a certificate of registration for Patent No. 138753, for the design of J.T. Eaton's Little Pete Multiple Catch Mouse Trap.

"This is the culmination of months of hard work behind the scenes, working to establish the unique characteristics of the Little Pete product from any other professional rodent trap on the market," notes Dale Baker, vice president of the Twinsburg, Ohio-based pest management product manufacturer. "When used with the Speedy Clean Ramps, the entire ramp unit is quickly and easily removed and replaced, without tools. The dual locking system holds ramps securely in place. This gives professionals peace of mind as they replace just the part of the trap that has been soiled by catching mice, not the entire unit."

The Little Pete trap can also be used as an insect monitor/trap. The company says damp areas are no problem for the traps, as they feature pop-down tabs to elevate the unit slightly to avoid moisture issues. They feature holes for wire or cable ties, to secure the traps in place. The powder-coated, low-profile Little Pete is available with solid or clear lids, as well as private-label options.

"The certificate will hang in our corporate headquarters, next to the many patents that my grandfather, Stanley Baker, received during his leadership of J.T. Eaton," he says. "He devoted his career to making the job of the pest management professional easier and more efficient, and we believe he would be proud of our latest innovation."
