Innovative Pest Management to Unveil Widow Spider Sculpture

Dave Simpson, an artist and Denver,N.C., businessman, is working on a sculpture for Innovative Pest Management that will be unveiled in two months.

DENVER, N.C. - Dave Simpson, an artist and Denver N.C., businessman, is working on a sculpture for Innovative Pest Management that will be unveiled in two months.

Simpson, owner of Simpson Dockworks in Denver N.C., and ArtbySimpson.com, has spent his life working in metal fabrication. He has produced more than 500 racecars over his career and aluminum truss frames for the entertainment industry.

Ronnie and Rhonda Caldwell, owners of Innovative Pest Management Inc., a pest-control company in Denver N.C., is excited about “The Widow Project,” which will be unveiled in front of the office on Oct. 29. The sculpture will be of a large widow spider hand sculpted out of polished stainless steel poised on a piece of concrete.

“For several years, Dave has wanted to create this giant steel spider in front of our office, now he has painstakingly created this thing by hand the old fashion way”  Ronnie Caldwell said. “I believe this is an awesome addition for our town and great for the pest control industry.”
