PHILADELPHIA - Allergy Technologies hosted approximately 30 pest management professionals in January for its ATAHC Learning Symposium, a hands-on educational seminar focused on best practices field application, and updates related to the company’s ATAHC Programs.

The ATAHC Learning Symposium brought together supervisors, technicians, and industry partners involved in delivering ATAHC services in affordable housing communities. the agenda emphasized real-world application, emerging challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.

ATAHC, short for Affordable Housing Control and Prevention and pronounced “attack,” is a property-wide pest management platform developed by Allergy Technologies. The company says the program was initially launched to address bed bug infestations and has since expanded into ATAHC Complete, which also targets cockroaches, rodents, and other structural public health pests. Allergy Technologies describes the model as emphasizing early detection, preventive measures, collaboration with residents and property management, and long-term cost control.

Joseph Latino, president of Allergy Technologies, said the symposium is intended to help ensure subcontractors remain current on program execution and field practices. “We want them to be at the tip of the spear of knowledge and field applicability,” Latino said.

In addition to technical instruction, the symposium highlighted what Allergy Technologies says distinguishes ATAHC from more reactive pest management approaches. The company characterizes ATAHC as a prevention-based, property-wide model rather than one focused on individual unit treatments. According to Allergy Technologies, this approach can reduce callbacks, emergency visits, and labor inefficiencies while improving route predictability and workload planning for pest management professionals.

Allergy Technologies also says the program provides PMPs with a differentiated service model when working with housing authorities and property managers. The company points to standardized protocols, data collection, and outcome tracking as tools that can help PMPs demonstrate performance and pursue longer-term contracts in the affordable housing sector.

Charles Cerbini Sr., executive vice president of Corbett Exterminating Inc. and a consultant to Allergy Technologies, said the symposium provides an opportunity for open discussion and refinement of the program. “The Learning Symposium gathers together supervisors and technicians to discuss the programs, specifics of the programs, and if there are ways to make them better,” Cerbini said. “We want to hear what everybody has to say.”

Cerbini added that collaboration across companies and roles is a key benefit of the event. “It’s always better to have everybody together because we feed off each other and give information to each other and see what’s worked in the field,” he said.

Allergy Technologies considers the Learning Symposium a central part of its long-term ATAHC strategy, citing education, collaboration, and feedback as drivers of consistent program execution across properties.
