With this special supplement, PCT this month honors three pest control companies that celebrate their 75th anniversaries in 2003. The past two years, PCT has recognized the industry’s two largest pest management firms — Orkin Pest Control and Terminix International — with editorial supplements honoring their 100th and 75th anniversaries, respectively.
This year, there were three companies that jumped out at us that should be recognized for this worthy achievement — Cook’s Pest Control, Decatur, Ala.; J.C. Ehrlich, Reading, Pa.; and McCall Service, Jacksonville, Fla. All three of these regional companies are family owned and all are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year. We hope you enjoy their stories and some of the historical photos we feature in the following pages.
Seventy-five years in business in the pest control industry is certainly a worthy accomplishment and PCT is proud to honor these three companies this month.
In the years to come, PCT magazine would like to continue to honor pest control companies as they reach such milestones. So, if your company is celebrating its 50th, 75th or 100th anniversary in the next few years, please let us know. If there is enough interest among readers and advertisers, PCT will be able to continue to produce such editorial supplements. Please forward your company information, historical and current photos, etc., so that our editorial staff can review the information.
Again, congratulations to Cook’s, Ehrlich and McCall. We salute you!
